I know following me must sometimes be like watching a maniac run around from one point to another, not always sure what they're doing. Chalk it off to my ADD or my brushes with insanity, but I guess I'm constantly in flux.
That being said, as Jesiryu (https://www.deviantart.com/jesiryu) and I have tried to figure out this whole marketing thing, I've been left with two distinct impressions: 1) Distancing myself from my work wasn't a bad idea. My case of community ostracization isn't a unique one and when you're writing "questionable material", a pen name is a safe buffer.
2) An author's name isn't just an attribution, it's a brand. You think of certain things when you see
